Mike Watt & Richard Hell join forces this Sat at Bowery Poetry Club

Three Rooms Press is gearing up for history in the making as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the Minutemen's classic album "Double Nickels on the Dime" at Bowery Poetry Club Sat. July 25th at 7:30.

The event will commemorate the album with spoken word and musical versions of most of the 40+ songs on the double record. TRP's own Kat Georges will host the event, which will be a benefit for Doctors without Borders. The lineup includes Minutemen bassist Mike Watt, Richard Hell (godfather of punk), Michael T. Fournier (author of Double Nickels on the Dime (33-1/3 press), New Jersey experimental indie rock band Tweede Kamer, Minutemen tribute band Pillowman (from Worcester, MA), Maybe Partying Will Help (from Bethlehem, PA), mystery punkster The Bass Player from Hand Job, electro-poetic mistress Jackie Sheeler, Jazz piano cabaret duo Not King Cole & Kayo, and punkster poet Kat Georges (author of Punk Rock Journal).

Bookmark this page, spread it around, and tell your buddies to get there early: this will sell out.

The event will be webcast live in case you can't be there live--but hey--you'll have a lot more fun if you're there.

Great show last night! Loved Tweede Kamer and Pillowman and all the testosterone in the room.
