He was the chair of the Eleanor Taylor Bland Crime Fiction Writers of Color committee, and is president of the Private Eye Writers of America.

He was born in Kenya into a secret Muslim sect; had his grandma killed to cover up the truth about his birth; used secret weather machines to cause Hurricane Sandy, and on and on. 

To many of us, the daily roll out of these preposterous notions about the nation’s first black president was laughable. But damned if these bizarro scenarios crept in from the fringes to find purchase on outlets like Breitbart, Alex Jones and what have you. . . .
