¡DADA Land in LALA Land!

Get your DADA on as Three Rooms Press presents ¡DADA Land in LALA Land!, a wild ride of contemporary DaDa performance and poetry by leading maverick artists. The event includes the West Coast launch of the internationally-renowned Maintenant 7: Journal of Contemporary DaDa Writing and Art, which features more than 100 visual and literary works by artists and writers worldwide. The event takes place Saturday, June 29, 4-6 pm at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice. Costumes encouraged. 

Featured performers include famed playwright-poet Doug Knott (Last of the Knotts), Mike Mollett and LA DADA (Carma Bums), Joanie Fritz Zosike (DADAnewyork), and Jeff Boynton and Mona Jean Cedar (Circuitry + Poetry). Additional performers include poet Marie Lecrivain, Bibiana Padilla Maltos and Christian Georgescu. The event will be hosted by Three Rooms Press co-directors and New York-based performance artists Peter Carlaftes and Kat Georges. And -- JUST ADDED! -- performance poet extraordinaire Linda J. Albertano! 

In addition, the event features the world premieres of Friends Scream for 2 Days (a mini DaDa Opera with music lyrics by Jan Michael Alejandro) and The Mirrored City (a DaDa ASL performance piece written by Jan Michael Alejandro, Jody Stevenson and Kalen Feeney, with ASL poetry by REZ). Both of these pieces will be performed by a cast of deaf actors, with ASL interpreters.

Maintenant 7: A Journal of Contemporary DaDa Writing and Art (Three Rooms Press) is the most recent installment of an annual series published since 2005.
